To be eligible for a loan at the NIS you must be:

• An NIS contributor between the ages of 21 and 60.
• The applicant or at least one of them must be resident citizen of Grenada.

You can get a consumer loan for any of the following purposes:

• Purchase of furniture and equipment.
• Basic home repairs.
• Medical expenses.
• Education loans.

Applicants for travel or medical loans must submit the following documents:

• Invoice/ billhead.
• Medical statement from doctor.
• Proof of income (recent pay slip & job letter).
• Evidence of ownership of, or title to the land.

Applicants for education loans must submit the following documents:

• Evidence of acceptance into college/university.
• Tuition cost and fees.
• Other relevant information that may be required if travelling.
• Proof of income (recent pay slip & job letter).
• Evidence of ownership of, or title to the land.
