Vacancy for Post of Compliance Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Compliance Officer with the National Insurance Scheme

The position is a designated travelling officer and the successful applicant will be required to visit workplaces, including construction sites, self-employed persons such as market vendors, farmers and homeowners.

The successful applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and will require the use of a vehicle for the performance of his/her duties.


Required Qualifications and competencies

  1. At least five (5) O Levels including English Language and Mathematics and two A levels or equivalent
  2. FIA (CAT) qualified
  3. At least five (5) years on the job experience
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in conflict management and team building
  5. Investigative and report writing skills will be an asset
  6. Ability to interact with persons at varying levels

Core Functions

            The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that there is a high level of compliance with all aspects of the National Insurance Regulations including the payment of contributions on a timely basis and the submission of contribution records.


            The Compliance Officer will be designated as an inspector in accordance with the National Insurance Law and shall be responsible for ensuring that all employers are compliant with all aspects of National Insurance Regulations and will be responsible for:-

  1. Conducting extensive Audits of employers
  2. Conducting visits to construction sites and small entities.
  3. Recording and reporting daily findings
  4. Preparing and serving non-compliance notices and warning letters
  5. Preparing monthly operations report
  6. Investigating benefit claims
