In accordance with section 22 of the National Insurance Law, provisions are made for the National Insurance Fund to be reviewed by an Actuary every three years. The 11th Actuarial Review made several recommendations. The following recommendations were accepted by Cabinet and the National Insurance Board.
The National Insurance Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Cindian St. Bernard to the position of Deputy Director, National Insurance Board effective 1st April, 2019.
Ms. St. Bernard holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
She has been employed with the National Insurance Scheme since 1996 and held the position of Investment Manager since 2009.
Ms. St. Bernard is from Woodlands, St. George’s and a past student of the St. Joseph’s Convent, St. George’s and the T.A. Marryshow Community College.
The National Insurance Board (NIB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dorsett Cromwell to the position of Director, NIB effective 15th January 2019.
Mr. Cromwell holds a Master of Actuarial Science degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Barbados.
He has been employed with the NIS since 1994 and held the position of Deputy Director since 2008.
Mr. Cromwell is from Fontenoy, St. George’s and a past student of the Presentation Brothers College and the Institute for Further Education.

Paid Parking Spaces are available at the NIS CAR PARK - Saturdays only 7am - 2pm! The NIS Car Park can be accessed by the public from the Melville Street Entrance (next to the former NIS Office)

Ceremonial cutting of the ribbon by Mr. Stanley Roberts - former member of the National Insurance Board
A Computer and printer were donated to the St. Ann’s Infant School, Rose Hill St. Patrick. The presentation was made on January 17th, 2014. The principal and three of the students expressed their appreciation to the NIS on behalf of the school for consenting to their request. The principal stated that their current computer and printer was out of commission for some time, hence the donation was a great need.
