The National Insurance Board is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, proactive professional to fill the position of Director of the National Insurance Scheme.

The Director is the Chief Administrative Officer of the National Insurance Board and is responsible for the efficient administration of the National Insurance Fund while maintaining the confidence of the public in the ability of the National Insurance Scheme to discharge its fiduciary responsibility with integrity and confidence. The Director reports to the National Insurance Board in which the Fund is vested.

i. Master’s degree in Management or Economics or Finance or a related field
ii. At least seven (7) years senior management experience
iii. Strong financial expertise 
iv. Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
v. Leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and lead a team 
vi. Training in Social Security and understanding of pension systems will be an asset
vii. Sound understanding of Information Technology systems will be an asset

The Director shall be responsible for the management of the Staff of the Board and the overall administration of the National Insurance Fund to include the following:

i. The strategic and corporate management of the institution
ii. The collection of contributions under the Law
iii. The payment of benefits and expenditure necessary for the proper administration of the Fund
iv. The investment of surplus monies in the Fund in accordance with the Law
v. Accounting for all monies collected, paid or invested under the Law
vi. Submission of business plans and programmes for the development and management of the National Insurance Scheme, for the consideration and approval of the Board in accordance with the relevant laws and best management practices

Salary and other benefits will be based on qualification and experience, and in accordance with the National Insurance Board’s remuneration and benefit package.
